No more...

So I tried my little trick to bypass the firewall. In all my nerdiness wisdom, I couldn't defeat the computer.

Xanga is dead.

:(

DAMN YOU FIREWALL!!

So work has decided to firewall Xanga.

This is a sad day.

I believe the switch to Blogger is now inevitable.

Stay tuned.

Slow Day

So its going to be a pretty slow day at work... I can feel it already.

So I think my agenda looks like this

- Review some documents

- Do my taxes

- Drop off my drycleaning

So I'm talking to a customer rep today and she says the word "confusement" as in "I'm so sorry for the confusement."  What the hell is that?

So I try and get my W-2 off the web from the Air Force website and I remember turning off my paper copy of my W-2- didn't feel like I needed that.  So I try to login to the system and it says that my credentials are no longer valid- so I can't access my freekin W-2!  Now how am I going to do my taxes?  Give it up for the government.

The Gee-tar

So at the suggestion of an old co-worker I took a guitar lesson.  After all of the years of never knowing how to read a note, not knowing anything about the guitar (just playing and doing what people tell me) I finally learn how to play some basic chords (and know the name of the chord!).  Funny what 30 minutes will do for you.

So I took the lesson at Manhattan Music & Voice.  I've been to that plaza a million times and I never even knew it was there...

So I these songs lined up - Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams Medley and Jimmy Eat World's- Here You Me.  So emo.  But you'll want to be emo too when panties are being thrown at you...

In completely unrelated news, some dude in Oregon was deemed to fat to hang.  We still hang people? WTF is that all about?  They said that if they hung him he would be decapitated since he was such a fatty- and that would be cruel and unusual punishment.

And on a sad note, Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow are no longer.  Damn she is a hottie.

GPS Gumballs

I know, I thought it was wierd when I heard it too but whoever thought of this is a genius.  To mitigate the danger presented by high-speed car chases in the "high-speed chase capital of the world- L.A." the police have employed something called a StarChaser, or a GPS Gumball.  This neat little contraption sticks to the car being pursued and takes the 3-4 squad cars travelling at high speeds to back off.

Who thought a gumball would save so many lives?  I don't think I've seen a gumball do this much since Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
